Our tour begins at the Monestario de Santa Catalina or Santa Teresa where we are able to discover over three centuries of history and contemplate life behind its walls. Next is the Iglesia de Compania de Jesus, a famous example of baroque architecture with its ornate façade and alters. Entering the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its neo-renaissance style we take the bus to the traditional villages of Yanahuara and Carmen Alto, where we will enjoy the view of the city its imposing volcanoes and the arequipeña terraces.

Tour of the Countryside:

Departs: 9:30 am and 14:30 pm daily
Duration: 3 hours
Tour: Valley of Chilina, Town of Paucarpata, Sabandia Mill, Mansion of the Founder, Sachaca lookout, Fierro

Bridge. In this excursion we will make Our way through the valley of Chilina, walk the arequipeña footpaths and see the winding Chili River with views of El Misti volcano.
Our tour continues by visiting the traditional town of Paucarpata, then on towards the Mill of Sabandia, a stone mill constructed in 1785, where the typical architecture of the region remains, predominantly in sillar.
After walking by the Mill our transport takes us to one of the traditional residences of the region, the "Mansion of the Founder", built in sillar on the edge of a cliff. From the mansion we go to the "Sachaca lookout" where we can take in the charming views of the city and its three volcanos.
We conclude the excursion by crossing the "Fierro Bridge" designed by the famous French architect Gustavo Eiffel. Return to the hotel.
