Inca Trail: 2 Day / 1 Night

Day 1: Cusco - Chachabamba - Wiñaywayna - Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes

In the early morning our bus will collect you from your hotel and take us to the Cusco train station where we will take the tourist train to the town of Chachabamba. From here we will begin our hike after registering at the control post of the Sanctuary of Machupicchu. After approximately 3 hours, we arrive at the archaeological site of Wiñaywayna (meaning "always young" the name with which the villagers call a variety of small orchids abundant in this area). After lunch we climb to Inti Punku (Door of the Sun) a place which offers magnificent views of Machupicchu, and then we descend by bus to the township of Aguas Calientes (Hot Waters) where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel after having dinner in a typical restaurant.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu - Aguas Calientes - Cusco

After a nutritious breakfast we take a bus to Machupicchu and begin our complete guided tour of all the places of interest. After lunch we will take the train to return to Cusco, arriving in the evening and transported back to your hotel by bus.
People that wish to climb the peak of Huayna Picchu need to register early as there are a limited number of people allowed to do so each day. Visiting the thermal baths in Aguas Calientes is also an option however the cost of entry is not included in this tour price.
