inka-trail-huayllabamba-winaywaynaWe gather in the hotel early in the morning and travel through the Sacred Valley until Ollantaytambo, where it is possible to make any last minute purchases before continuing to kilometer 82. We have breakfast here before beginning our hike, within about 2 hours of easy walking we arrive at the archaeological site of PATALLACTA and have some time to appreciate the impressive landscape, flora and fauna indigenous to this area. Incan traditions and archaeological centers show the importance of this valley. After lunch we continue ascending through a semi-tropical valley arriving at Huayllabamba camping site (3,000m) where we will spend the night. Meals provided: Lunch and Dinner.

Day 2. - Huayllabamba - Paccaymayu.

This day is considered the most exhausting since we climb to the highest point of our route known asinka-trail-huayllabamba-paccaymayu WARMIWAÑUSCA or Dead Woman's Pass (at 4,200m/13,780ft). After breakfast we begin our ascent, the first two hours we walk through abundant vegetation with trees of jungle origin, for this reason it is known by many as the highest forest of the world with unique flora and fauna up to 3800m, from here until the highest point is typical Andean mountain covered with ichu or straw, mountains with permanent snow-capped peaks. After an arduous walk of approximately 5 hours we will arrive at the highest point, from there we can see the majesty of the Andes and the deep valleys, if we are lucky we may see the flight of the condors and the clouds passing us by. After a well deserved rest we begin our descent to our campsite at PACAYMAYU (3500msnm). Meals provided: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
