Is Inca architecture identified by the type of assemblage of the stones in the walls and the presence of platforms.

There are two interpretations for this archaeological site, the first indicates that served the function of prehispanic amphitheater, considering that the platforms served as tribunes for the public, but according to renowned archaeologists, is stated that it is a complex agricultural experimental, where each platform tantamount to different ecological Tahuantinsuyo, investigations made regarding temperature measurement at each level is important to show that the lowest point as 36 ° C (on hot days) could be compared with the climate of the floor ecological “yunca” the Inca empire.

There are four holes, all concentric, likewise these holes have a very special feature for over that the rainy season has had a lot of precipitation fluvial these holes never get flooded, implying that the Incas had advanced drainage technology.

This place is favorable visit between the months of April to October, considering that in these months the rainfall is scarce, so that you can visit the archaeological site with ease.

To reach this area is traveled 107 Km south from Cusco, approximately two hours by car to reach locality from Pomacanchi, from where you start the journey to the other three remaining lagoon, which can make the trip by car or use mountain bikes.

The location of these lagoons are in the upper Vilcanota River in order following: Pomancanchi (first lagoon), Acopia (second lagoon), Asnaqocha (third lagoon) and Pampamarca (fourth lagoon).

Pomancanchi: Is first lagoon to begin the circuit and characterized by a depth of 140 meters, we found in surroundings natural grasses as “totora” and plants utilized for medicinal use as “mirmi”.
Acopia: This presents an extension lesser and is located very close to the town that carries the same name. Its flora and fauna are of the same species found in the lagoon first name Pomancanchi, and then afterwards we come to third lagoon.

Asnaqocha: Its name comes from Quechua word that meaning “lagoon smelly” and presents little diversity of flora and fauna, which is caudate by the growing abundant algae exposed to sunlight. To continuations we get to the last lagoon in the circuit.

Pampamarca: This is the fourth and final lagoon of circuit ,is 3750 meters., To its surroundings has greater diversity of wildlife as parihuanas and ducks, this is due to the large amount of cattails characteristic of area, suitable for sports like fishing, inevitable activity as part of the circuit.
